UPDATES AND INSTRUCTIONS
The college enrollment process is the student’s responsibility. Enrollment is managed by GCC and LAVC. Students MUST be enrolled BEFORE 8/31/26
Fall 2026 classes at both GCC and LAVC begin the week of 8/31/26. STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS. M/W classes start 8/31/2026, and T/Th classes start 9/1/2026.
All professor communications, including class Zoom links, will be posted on Canvas. See Canvas information below.
CTE DUAL ENROLLMENT classes will ALWAYS be posted on the HS transcript.
Please keep in mind that being on a class interest form/list does not guarantee your enrollment; it is the student’s responsibility to follow either the GCC or LAVC enrollment process.
Dual Enrollment classes are open to all students, 9th - 12th grades with a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Students can take a college course on the HS campus or virtually and earn credits for both HS and college.
These FREE transferable, Dual Enrollment courses are less than a semester long and worth a year of HS credits (10).
A minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0 is required to participate. If the minimum GPA is not met an approved petition is required to participate.
